Inspiration

Wandering through a Latino market in France, we stumbled upon the most amazing Aji peppers 🌶. Intrigued and excited, we decided to grab some and make a traditional dish. The perfect opportunity presented itself with an upcoming small gathering of friends.

Back home, the idea hit us – Shrimp Causa Limeña! 🦐 We began by boiling potatoes until tender, then mashing them with lime juice, aji amarillo paste, and a touch of olive oil, creating a smooth, flavorful base. 

For the filling, we sautéed shrimp with garlic, red onion, and a sprinkle of cilantro, then let it cool before layering it between the creamy potato mixture. A few slices of avocado and boiled egg on top added the perfect finishing touches.
 
As we assembled the dish, our friends arrived and eagerly joined in, helping with the final touches and setting the table. The result? An incredibly delicious and beautifully presented Shrimp Causa Limeña, perfect for our gathering.
 
A simple inspiration from the market turned into a memorable dish that brings joy and flavor to every small gathering. Pure culinary magic!
